What's a kirtsy?

kirtsy is a place where women give nods, respect, and props to the coolest things out there. Where they find things, share things. News. Ideas. Information. Products. Coolness. And more and more and more. kirtsy is like that friend who always finds the best stuff... only better. Because it finds the stuff online. And let's face it, there are billions of online options...and finding something you're interested in is sometimes tricky. So kirtsy was created as a portal where skirts can be raised with respect. A spot that you can stop in to see what excellent things others have found.

Here's the basic gist:

kirtsy is made up of a number of news items submitted by users. These items typically fall into one of nine categories and are found in either the Up-and-Coming section, the Popular section. Each item is submitted by readers like you. The headline on each post lets you know what the link is about and the summary gives you a little more detail. Then either click on the headline or the web address below and you can hop over to the site of the featured item.

In a nutshell, the more of you who click on this link the better the chance that Mystic Orient will end up on kirtsy's home page!

If you're familiar with Mystic Orient, you know that Chinese adoption and the orphanages in China hold a special place in our hearts. Half The Sky, simply put, is a wonderful organization dedicated to ensuring that every one of China's orphans has a caring adult in her life. However, on May 12, 2008, a terrible earthquake affected thousands of China's children. Half The Sky has made a long-term commitment to help heal the children who were traumatized by this awful event.

We want to help! We are launching a wonderful presale event where Mystic Orient will donate a portion of your purchase to Half The Sky's Big Top foundation and help those in need.
